Lakewood, NJ, April 23, 2018 – Achieve3000, the leader in differentiated instruction, announced today that Saki Dodelson has stepped down as CEO of Achieve3000 and Stuart Udell will join the company as CEO, effective April 30. With this announcement, Achieve3000 will add strong operational experience to its management team to further its mission to provide equity of access to literacy instruction so all learners can achieve college and career readiness. “With Saki’s support, I am thrilled to bring Stuart on to lead the next chapter of growth at Achieve3000,” said Adam Berger, Chairman of the Achieve3000 Board and Managing Director of Insight Venture Partners, a majority investor in Achieve3000. “Stuart is passionate about the mission of educational equity and comes with broad experience using technology to bring education solutions to diverse learners. He has an impressive track record of managing big teams to meet lofty goals, around both student outcomes and business success.”
Mr. Udell brings more than 25 years of K-12 focused experience to Achieve3000. Most recently, Mr. Udell was CEO at K12 Inc., a publicly traded operator of virtual charter schools. Mr. Berger praised Ms. Dodelson for her unparalleled success “as an entrepreneur who set out to change the world and actually did so.” He continued, “Saki led Achieve3000 from an idea to a global business, helping millions of kids and adults to read and improve their lives forever. Saki is in rare air. She now joins an even more elite club of entrepreneurs who step aside confident that their hand-picked, next generation of leaders can grow from the foundation they have built.”
Mr. Udell said, “I am humbled to take the reins from Saki Dodelson, who has built an incredible company. Saki is a brilliant entrepreneur who has created real value in helping diverse students make meaningful learning gains. Her day-in, day-out communication with her customers and close relationships with educational thought leaders has allowed Achieve3000 to stay on the cutting edge.
